Termite control products are found on the left in the 'Category' section or click the links below.

Dampwood Termite Dampwood termites infest wood with a high moisture content. Dampwood termites are normally larger in size than other termite species. Bodies of king and queen dampwood termites range in size from 1/2 inch to 5/8 inch long and have two pairs of wings that are equal in size and shape and extend beyond their abdomen. Nymphs range up to 5/8 inch and worker dampwood termites are up to 3/4 inch.

Drywood TermiteDampwood Termites nest in the damp wood on which they feed and do not invade a structure from the soil as Subterranean and Formosan Termites do. Because their colonies are within the structure, they are difficult to control.

Formosan Termite The Formosan termite is the most destructive termite pest in the U.S., and arguably the world. It can cause extensive structural damage. For example, one Georgia homeowner sustained, by his own estimate, $200,000 in Formosan termite damage; we can cite several other damage estimates of homes in Georgia in the $10,000-$70,000 range. Prior to hurricane Katrina, the Formosan termite was annually responsible for an estimated $100 million in damage to homes and businesses in the New Orleans area.

Subterranean Termite In natural ecosystems termites are considered beneficial because they help release nutrients from dead wood and other cellulose materials into the soil. In human environments, they are considered serious pests. Due to their widespread distribution, subterranean termites are responsible for most of the termite damage caused annually in the United States. Approximately $4.5 billion is spent annually in the United States to control subterranean termite infestations and repair damage they cause. The most common house-infesting termite in the United States is Reticulitermes flavipes, the eastern subterranean termite.
